Welcome To BPA Live
|It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of Ian ‘Mac’ McLagan in Austin yesterday (3rd December) after suffering a stroke aged a young – very young – 69. I had the privilege of working with him this last seven years and I got to know him pretty well. I really liked the guy, he was a top geezer. He was full of energy and sunshine. He was a delight to work with and he was an ultimate professional in everything he did. I will really miss him. My thoughts are with his family and friends in Austin and around the world. We will all really miss you mate.‘Mac’ at The Musician in Leicester in 2009

|“What can be said about BPA and the lovely Bob Paterson? An absolute pleasure to work with for one thing – thorough, efficient, pleasant and genuine – he offers what very few agents offer – a human touch! Over the years a great rapport has been built up between Bob and the festival and on top of offering and booking some unforgettably fine artists from him, you have the knowledge and trust that he will not let you down – he has certainly made our work a lot simpler! He treats his artists with a great deal of respect, care and attention and they are delivered to us as informed as organised as they possibly can be! A friendly agent in this business is hard to come by, which is why Bob and his company are so very special, I look forward to many more years of happy collaboration with him!”

|“Having been a live performer for almost 30 years, I can unequivocally give Bob Paterson/BPA Live my highest recommendation. In fact he is one of the finest agents I have ever worked with. His attention to detail, belief in his artists, dogged determination to get the job done, and incredible work ethic is unsurpassed in this crazy business. As an artist who is self managed, I profoundly appreciate that Bob goes the extra mile to stay on top of his tours, and make them run as smoothly and profitably as possible for his artists, the buyers, and all concerned. On top of all this, he has a great sense of humor, and enjoys what he does! (…most of the time anyway..) It’s truly a pleasure working with him.”
|“I can certainly say that if it wasn’t for BPA, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing today…
It was actually Bob who dreamed up my role as the “Queen of Logistics” – which soon snowballed into me getting into tour management – and every day I am grateful. I feel like I have the best job in the world! More so when I get to work with artists on BPA’s roster.
Bob is one of my most favourite people to work with, no doubt about it. His integrity and work ethic are a great inspiration and I know that BPA always works with the artist’s best interest at heart. It’s such a beautiful encouragement to me and motivates me to go the extra mile.
It’s pretty cool to know that he’s a family man too and that life’s never too serious to be able to take time out for a cup of tea and laugh.
Without a shadow of a doubt, if you get to work with BPA, you too will feel part of an excellent team – all rowing in the same direction for the best results!”

|“Bob Paterson has helped me come a long way in the UK and Ireland and I consider him an utterly professional and dedicated agent. He understands the music.”
|” While I deal with many corporate agencies for our work, I consider BPA the best overall, in what they do. We have a grass roots approach to our music promotions and as a charity expect all the agencies to be “on the ball” with what needs are required. I can honestly say that Bob Paterson has always came up trumps with his superb roster of acts, marketing & whatever else we have requested for our shows. He’s a true lover of the music he offers too, which isn’t always the case, and we 100% recommend his agency to anyone in the music business”
